I’m Laurel Schaffer, founder of VIV Home & Goods, and I’ve always believed that the spaces we create should tell a story—one that reflects beauty, memory, culture, and the way we wish to live each day.
Before opening VIV, I spent years traveling and working as a sustainable fashion designer, learning from extraordinary artisans and makers around the world and here at home in America. My background in English, dance, fashion design, and global sustainability continues to shape the way I see design: as something deeply human, expressive, and connected to the wider world around us.
VIV was born from a love of timeless craftsmanship, old-world charm, natural materials, and the meaningful details that make a home feel layered, personal, and alive. Every piece in the shop is chosen with intention—from handwoven textiles and artisan-made goods to vintage treasures rich with history and character.
